God doesn't play dice, she plays poker. I guess it means that life isn't luck, life isn't preordained, life is where the two collide. A bit like poker. Suck-outs get ahead, long-shots scoop the pot, but, hand after hand after hand, ability wins, knowledge works, and attitude is rewarded. Just don't tell me about hard work.
